Use with all permanent colors, demi-colors and toners.

  • Improves results vs. a regular 3–5 volume peroxide
  • Provides 0 levels of lift
  1. Mix following manufacturer’s directions substituting No Lift for regular peroxide.
  2. Apply to hair following manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Cover hair loosely with a clean, plastic cap.
  4. Place patron under a warm preheated dryer for a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10 minutes on root area.
  5. Check color development after 5 minutes. If desired result has not been achieved, allow another 5 minutes as needed.
  6. Comb through ends if necessary and leave on an additional 3–10 minutes until color is attained.
  7. Do not go back under dryer. Do not put cap back on.
  8. Rinse thoroughly and shampoo.
  9. NOTE: Color processes faster under a warm dryer. Without use of a dryer, the benefits of the enzymes remain but color will process in normal amount of time.

Accent

Use with all depositing colors, semi-permanent, demi-colors and toners

  • Improves results vs. a regular 10 volume peroxide
  • Provides 1 level of lift
With permanent color, semi-permanent and demi-colors:
  1. Mix following manufacturer’s directions substituting Accent for regular peroxide.
  2. Apply to hair following manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Cover hair loosely with a clean, plastic cap.
  4. Place patron under a warm preheated dryer for a minimum of 10 minutes to a maximum of 20 minutes.
  5. After 10 minutes, check color development and then every few minutes thereafter until desired results are achieved.
  6. After 20 minutes, comb through ends if necessary and leave on an additional 3–10 minutes as needed.
  7. Do not go back under dryer. Do not put cap back on.
  8. Rinse thoroughly and shampoo.
  9. NOTE: Color processes faster under a warm dryer. Without use of a dryer, the benefits of the enzymes remain but color will process in normal amount of time.
With toners on bleached hair:
  1. Mix toner following manufacturer’s directions substituting Accent for regular peroxide. Apply to bleached hair following manufacturer’s directions.
  2. When application is completed, cover hair loosely with a clean plastic cap and place patron under a warm preheated dryer for a minimum of 10 minutes to a maximum of 20 minutes.
  3. Check every five minutes for toner development until desired shade is reached.
  4. When desired result is achieved, rinse thoroughly and shampoo. If a lighter shade is desired, mix Actuator (20 volume) with toner instead.
  5. NOTE: Color processes faster under a warm dryer. Without use of a dryer, the benefits of the enzymes remain but color will process in normal amount of time.

gray b gone

Gray B Gone

Use with all permanent colors

  • Improves results of a regular 17 volume peroxide
  • Provides 1.5–2 levels of lift
  • There is no better way to achieve optimum coverage on 25% salt & pepper to 100% gray/white hair (level 6 and below)
  1. Mix following manufacturer’s directions substituting Gray B Gone for regular peroxide.
  2. Apply to hair following manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Cover hair loosely with a clean, plastic cap.
  4. Place patron under a warm preheated dryer for a minimum of 15 minutes to a maximum of 20 minutes.
  5. Check color development after 15 minutes. If desired result has not been achieved, leave patron under dryer for an additional 5 minutes and check results.
  6. Comb through ends if necessary and leave on an additional 3–10 minutes as needed until results are achieved.
  7. Do not go back under dryer. Do not put cap back on.
  8. Rinse thoroughly and shampoo.
  9. NOTE: Color processes faster under a warm dryer. Without use of a dryer, the benefits of the enzymes remain but color will process in normal amount of time.

actuator

Use with all permanent colors, liquid and powder bleaches

  • Improves results of a regular 20–30 volume peroxide
  • Provides 2–3 levels of lift
  • There is no better way to achieve optimum coverage on 25% salt & pepper to 100% gray/white hair (level 7 and above)
When coloring to make hair lighter:
  1. Mix following manufacturer’s directions substituting Actuator for regular peroxide.
  2. Apply to hair following manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Cover hair loosely with a clean, plastic cap.
  4. Place patron under a warm preheated dryer for a minimum of 10 minutes to a maximum of 20 minutes.
  5. Check color development after 10 minutes. If desired result is not achieved, check every few minutes up to 20 minutes until you do so.
  6. Comb through ends if necessary and leave on an additional 3–10 minutes.
  7. Do not go back under dryer. Do not put cap back on.
  8. Rinse thoroughly and shampoo.
  9. NOTE: Color processes faster under a warm dryer. Without use of a dryer, the benefits of the enzymes remain but color will process in normal amount of time.
when bleaching with liquid bleach:
  1. Mix bleach following manufacturer’s directions substituting Actuator for regular peroxide.
  2. Apply to hair following manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Cover hair loosely with a clean, plastic cap.
  4. Place patron under a warm preheated dryer for a minimum of 10 minutes to a maximum of 20 minutes.
  5. Check color development after 10 minutes. If desired result is not achieved, check every few minutes up to 20 minutes until desired lightening results are obtained.
  6. If level of lift is not achieved after 20 minutes under dryer, take client out from under dryer and allow processing to continue cap off for another 10–20 minutes.
  7. Once desired results are achieved, rinse thoroughly and shampoo.
  8. NOTE: Color processes faster under a warm dryer. Without use of a dryer, the benefits of the enzymes remain but color will process in normal amount of time.
When streaking, frosting, tipping and highlighting with powder bleach:
  1. When hair has been pulled through streaking cap, mix powder bleach following manufacturer’s directions substituting Actuator for regular peroxide.
  2. Apply to hair following manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Cover hair loosely with a clean, plastic cap.
  4. Place patron under a warm preheated dryer.
  5. After 10 minutes, check bleach development. If desired result has not been achieved, check every few minutes up to 20 minutes until desired lightening results are obtained.
  6. On the rare occasion when level of lift is not achieved after 20 minutes under dryer, take client out from under dryer and allow processing to continue cap off for another 5–10 minutes.
  7. Once desired results are achieved, rinse thoroughly and shampoo.
  8. If additional toning is required, please refer to toning application section under Accent directions.
  9. NOTE: Color processes faster under a warm dryer. Without use of a dryer, the benefits of the enzymes remain but color will process in normal amount of time.

lift thru

Use with all permanent colors, liquid and powder bleaches

  • Improves results vs. a regular 40–50 volume peroxide
  • Provides 4–5 levels of lift
  • On scalp, use with high-lift color or on-scalp bleach. Off scalp, any high-lift color or bleach.
  • Safely lightens to levels you never dreamed possible—on scalp or off.
  1. Mix following manufacturer’s directions substituting Lift Thru for regular peroxide.
  2. Apply to hair following manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Cover hair loosely with a clean, plastic cap.
  4. Place patron under a warm preheated dryer for a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 20 minutes.
  5. Check color development every few minutes until desired results are achieved.
  6. If after 20 minutes results are not achieved yet, remove client from dryer, comb through ends if necessary and leave on an additional 3-10 minutes as needed.
  7. Do not go back under dryer. Do not put cap back on.
  8. Rinse thoroughly and shampoo.
  9. NOTE: Color processes faster under a warm dryer. Without use of a dryer, the benefits of the enzymes remain but color will process in normal amount of time.

higher & higher

Use with all permanent colors, liquid and powder bleaches for maximum high lift

  • Improves results vs. a regular 50–80 volume peroxide
  • Provides 5–8 levels of lift, off-scalp ONLY
  1. Mix following manufacturer’s directions substituting Higher & Higher for regular peroxide.
  2. Apply to hair following manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Cover hair loosely with a clean, plastic cap.
  4. Place patron under a warm preheated dryer for a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 20 minutes.
  5. Check color development every few minutes until desired results are achieved.
  6. If at any time during the process your patron is uncomfortable, remove client from the dryer and continue processing.
  7. Once process is complete, rinse thoroughly and shampoo.
  8. NOTE: Color processes faster under a warm dryer. Without use of a dryer, the benefits of the enzymes remain but color will process in normal amount of time.
  9. REMINDER: For on-scalp processing use Lift Thru.

perm systems

gold perm

Use with double-processed, bleached and highly damaged hair.
Also excellent for baby-fine hair.

Trionics Gold Enzyme Perm System
  • Comes with our unique enzyme Hair Booster which thickens fine hair 33% infusing lustre and body.
  1. Gently shampoo, rinse thoroughly and towel-dry hair.
  2. Wrap damp hair on perm rods. DO NOT wrap with perm lotion.
  3. If hair dries while wrapping, spray lightly with water to dampen. Entire head should be wound smoothly without stretching.
  4. Protect hairline with absorbent cotton strip. Place a clean, dry towel at nape of neck.
  5. Add entire contents of Trionics Enzyme Activator tube to Trionics perm lotion. Rotate gently to mix. Discard empty Activator tube.
  6. Apply mixed perm lotion to each rod starting with nape section, proceeding to crown section, then top and side sections. Use entire contents to assure saturation of each curl wound.
  7. Cover head with plastic cap and secure in front so all rods are covered and air tight. Start timing immediately.
Processing Time
  • On normal, resistant and fine limp hair: 20 minutes.
  • Tinted hair, single process: 15 minutes. Check a test curl in 10 minutes.
  • Double process or frosted hair: 3–5 minutes. Check a test curl in 3 minutes.
  • NOTE: on excessively porous hair (e.g., highly bleached), consider prewrapping with Trionics Hair Booster instead of water wrapping. This will completely moisture-balance the hair. Do not use more than 1 oz. of Booster for wrap unless hair is extremely long and thick.
  • Rinse thoroughly for at least 5 minutes. Pay close attention to rinsing nape sections. Towel blot each wound curl thoroughly.
For thickening fine hair:
  1. Pour 1 oz. of Trionics Hair Booster into spray or applicator bottle. Spray or apply to each rod once across.
  2. Place patron under a COOL hair dryer for 10–15 minutes or until hair has reached previous towel blotted stage.
  3. Shake Trionics neutralizer. Apply twice to top and bottom of each rod wound in order of wrapping procedure. Wait 5 minutes.
  4. Water rinse thoroughly with warm water then with cool water and towel dry. Be careful not to stretch hair.
  5. Rinse for minimum of 5–7 minutes on the rods to thoroughly remove enzyme neutralizer.
  6. Style hair as desired.

silver perm

Use with super resistant, hard-to-perm hair. Ideal for gray, stubborn hair

  • Two unique formulas:
    1. For normal hair
    2. For color-treated hair
  • Moisturizing ingredients leave hair with curl and lustre.
  1. Gently shampoo, rinse thoroughly and towel-dry hair.
  2. Water wrap hair, then apply lotion (regular or tinted).
  3. Place cap on head and allow to process for 10–12 minutes, checking curl every few minutes.
  4. Rinse hair thoroughly and towel blot.
  5. Apply neutralizer and leave on for 5 minutes.
  6. Rinse on rods, remove rods, rinse again and style as desired.
  7. NOTE: For virgin or tinted hair only. For bleached, frosted or damaged hair, use Trionics Gold.

platinum perm

Use when you want a Thio-free formula—does not contain thioglycolate

  • Three unique formulas:
    1. for normal and previously permed hair
    2. for color-treated hair
    3. for resistant and hard-to-curl hair
  1. Gently shampoo, rinse thoroughly and towel-dry hair.
  2. Hair should be blocked into sections.
  3. Water wrap (do not lotion wrap) without tension.
  4. If hair dries while wrapping, spray lightly with water to dampen. Towel blot thoroughly after entire head is wrapped.
  5. Waving lotion should now be thoroughly applied to each wound rod.
  6. Do not drip lotion onto skin, scalp or into eyes.
  7. Place plastic cap over all rods and secure in front.
  8. Average processing time is 20 minutes. Check curl every 5 minutes. Extra resistant hair may require up to 30 minutes to process.
  9. Do not process under heat lamp.
  10. Rinse hair with warm water for 5 minutes.
  11. Towel blot all rods gently to remove excess water. Hair should still be damp.
  12. Apply neutralizer to the top and bottom of each rod. Save ½ oz of neutralizer for later use. Wait full five minutes.
  13. Gently remove all rods. Apply remaining neutralizer to unwrapped curls and gently work through hair. Wait 1 more minute.
  14. Rinse hair thoroughly with warm water for a full 5 minutes.
  15. Towel blot, dry and style as desired.
Use of Porosity Control Tube (for #2—color-treated hair)
  • Should be applied to color treated areas of the hair where there is uneven porosity. Then comb through and to distribute evenly.
  • Do not rinse. Do not mix with anything.
  • Not necessary for low lift tinted hair in good condition.

NOTE: Where buildup exists from residues containing waxes and polymers, we recommend using Trionics PCC (Pre-Chemical Cleanser) prior to waving. If your patron is from a well water area and has chlorine buildup, we recommend Trionics Chelator shampoo prior to waving.

PCC (pre-chemical cleanser) and chelator

PCC (Pre-Chemical Cleanser

Use PCC when you want to remove build-up and residue from the cuticle

Trionics PCC & Chelator PCC Chelator
  • Primes hair for treatments that will hold better, last longer and be uniform in it desired effect
  • Great for use prior to perms and color services
  • Great for extensions to remove the coating

Use Chelator when you want to rid the hair of trace minerals, medication and chlorine

Chelator
  • While PCC scrubs the shaft clean, Chelator (through the process of chelation) penetrates the hair and cleanses the cortex
  • Chelator is an excellent shampoo for use with an itchy scalp, greasy hair or chlorine damage
  1. Apply PCC onto dry hair. Be sure hair is completely saturated and massage thoroughly. Protect client’s eyes. Leave on 3–5 minutes.
  2. Do not rinse. Apply Chelator shampoo directly over PCC and gently massage hair and scalp. Leave on 3–5 minutes.
  3. Rinse thoroughly for a minimum of 2–3 minutes or until the product is completely removed, then re-apply Chelator shampoo.
  4. Rinse thoroughly and proceed with service.
For a stand-alone service or heavy buildup:
  1. Apply PCC to damp hair. Be sure hair is completely saturated and massage thoroughly. Protect client’s eyes.
  2. Cover hair with a clean plastic cap and place patron under a preheated, warm dryer for 10–20 minutes.
  3. Do not rinse. Apply Chelator shampoo directly over PCC and gently massage hair and scalp, allowing lather to stay on hair for one minute.
  4. Rinse thoroughly, then re-apply Chelator shampoo.
  5. Rinse thoroughly and proceed with service.
For use with extensions:
  1. Apply PCC to damp hair. Saturate and gently massage in thoroughly. Leave on 3-5 minutes.
  2. Do not rinse. Apply Chelator shampoo directly over PCC and gently massage into hair to lather. Leave on 3-5 minutes.
  3. Rinse thoroughly for a minimum of 2-3 minutes or until product is fully removed.
  4. Repeat with Chelator shampoo and leave on 2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Depending on the condition of the extensions:
    • At the bowl, create a conditioning bath with Enzyme Cocktail Masque for better distribution and maximum moisture and shine.
    • Soak extensions in the bath for 3-5 minutes. Avoid submerging the adhesive, bond, or weft. Rinse thoroughly and dry as normal.
When using Chelator (without PCC) for an itchy scalp, greasy hair or chlorine damage:
  1. Proceed as you would with any shampoo. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. Reapply, rinse and proceed with service.

scalp-eze

Use with color, lighteners, perms and relaxers when you need to desensitize the scalp during chemical processes.

  • Eliminates stinging, burning and itching
  • Conditions hair for more shine and manageability
  • Super easy to use—simply add to your mixture and go
  1. Add one (1) teaspoon or 4 cc to any standard 4 oz. mixture of color, lightener, perm or relaxer. Use 1 cc per oz. Adjust accordingly if using more or less than 4 oz.
  2. Proceed as usual with desired service. The use of Scalp-Eze in no way affects the chemical treatment.

Hair Booster & Booster Plus Amplifying Spray Hair Booster Booster Plus Leave-In Conditioner

Use on fine or damaged hair to strengthen and thicken from the inside out up to 33%

  • Can add into color, use as a deep reconstructor and perm protection.
  • Will work with all other manufacturers color, perm and conditioning products.
BLOW WAVE OR SET LOTION:
  1. Dilute 1 part Trionics hair booster in a spray bottle with 2 parts water for an overall silky feeling.
  2. For crisper sets, use equal parts.
  3. NOTE: If you want an amplifying spray that is ready made, Booster Plus is for you!
PROVIDE BODY DURING A COLOR PROCESS:
  1. Add ½-cap of Trionics Hair Booster to any color or toner mixture.
  2. The enzyme protein will impart luster, body and thickness with no adverse effect on the color.
WITH ANY PERM:
  1. Use your favorite perm lotion. We recommend Trionics Gold, Silver or Platinum Perms.
  2. Follow manufacturer’s instructions up to the time when perm is ready to neutralize.
  3. Rinse rods, towel blot, but DO NOT neutralize yet.
  4. Spray Booster over rods full strength and place patron under a COOL hair dryer for 10–15 minutes or until tacky dry.
  5. USE NO MORE THAN 1 oz. Then apply neutralizer.
  6. NOTE: When protection is needed if a patron has damaged, dry or bleached ends, apply Booster full strength to the ends prior to the perm application.
FOR DEEP RECONSTRUCTING:
  1. On extremely damaged hair, apply Booster full strength to the entire head prior to shampooing. Make sure hair is saturated.
  2. Place a clean plastic cap over patron’s head and place under a warm dryer for 10–15 minutes. Gently shampoo and rinse.

get it strate

Use it when you want superior semi-permanent straightening to make hair sleeker, smoother and straighter; and to go longer between shampoos.

  • Also ideal when you need to soften hard-to-manage hair.
  • Lasts up to 10 shampoos.
  1. Shampoo, condition, rinse and towel-dry hair.
  2. Apply a quarter-sized amount to damp hair and work through from the roots to ends—use more for longer or highly damaged hair.
  3. Comb through to eliminate tangles. Do not rinse out.
  4. Cover with a cap to prevent drying and let stand 7–10 minutes, or you may place under a warm dryer 5–7 minutes.
  5. Blow dry to 90–95% dry (until hair is cool), applying slight tension with brush.
  6. Flat iron at 350°–450°F using thin partings, each section 3–5 times. For thin/fine hair: lower heat, fewer strokes. For coarse/thick hair: higher heat, more strokes.

Enzyme Cocktail Conditioning Masque

Use this super-popular conditioner when you want to increase body, volume and shine

  1. Shampoo and towel dry to remove excess moisture.
  2. Apply Enzyme Cocktail from roots to tips, gently work into fragile ends as needed.
  3. Comb through and let process for 10 minutes.
  4. Rinse thoroughly and style as desired.
  5. For intensified therapeutic benefits: apply a shower cap and allow to remain on hair up to 20 minutes, then rinse.
  6. To protect hair from the cumulative effects of daily styling, use once per week as needed to help keep dryness and breakage at bay.

How to KO

  1. Wear gloves. Use only non-metallic bowls and utensils.
  2. Gently mix 1 part KO blondes balayage lightener with 1 part Trionics Enzyme Developer of your choice (based on your desired level of lift—see below) to a smooth, creamy consistency. Do not overmix. For thinner mixtures, 1:1.5~2 parts developer.
    • For gentle lift (2–3 levels): Trionics Actuator (20 vol).
    • For extra lift (4–5 levels): Trionics Lift Thru (50 vol).
    • For maximum lift (5–8 levels): Trionics Higher & Higher (off-scalp only).
  3. Apply evenly with brush or gloved hands to dry hair, and let process at room temperature for up to 50 minutes, or until desired lightness is achieved.
    • The speed and intensity of processing may be increased with gentle heat or incubation.
    • Excessive heat is not required or recommended to achieve professional results.
  4. Check development regularly until desired amount of lift is achieved.
  5. Once complete, remove mixture immediately by rinsing with warm water.
  6. Shampoo gently and condition.
  7. Hair is now ready for toner and/or styling.

XO platinum

XO platinum

Directions

  1. In a non-metallic bowl mix XO platinum with developer 1:1.5–1:2 for about 2 minutes until homogeneous.
  2. Apply to dry hair.
  3. Process up to 45 minutes.
  4. Check every 5–10 minutes until desired level is reached. Additional heat not required.
  5. Rinse thoroughly after processing, then shampoo and condition.
